Lap Sponsorships Available for 29th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial at Richmond Raceway

 

Richmond, KY(August 3rd, 2016) Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are excited to announce a Lap Sponsorship Program for the 29th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial event on Saturday August 20.  The event at the 3/10 mile semi-banked red clay oval better known as “The Beast of the East” will pay $10,059 to win the 59 lap event for Super Late Models that will be sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series.

Any business, group, or race fan(s) can sponsor a lap or laps of the 29th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial event.  The sponsorship amount is $25 per lap, except for laps 1, 30, and 59, as they will be $50 sponsorships.  The lap money will be extra money that will go to the driver that leads that lap.  If one driver leads all 59 laps of the event, it would mean an additional $1,450 in prize money, possibly making it the richest to win event in the history of Richmond Raceway, being it would then be $11,509 to win. 

“We wanted to do something to get businesses and fans involved to make them feel more a part of the prestigious Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge event”, stated track co-promoter Larry Yantz.  “The Butterball has become a must-see event for the race fans of our area and we are anticipating a great group of drivers to compete in the event and wanted to sweeten the pot just a bit and we want our business supporters and race fans to have a platform to be more involved in this great event”, added Yantz.

Interested parties that would like to sponsor a lap or laps for the 29th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge event at Richmond Raceway on August 20 can contact track co-promoter Chad Yantz via email at chad.yantz@gmail.com and they will receive a reply that details what will need to be done to be a lap sponsor.  The deadline to sponsor a lap will be Wednesday August 17, 2016. 

The 29th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial will take place at Richmond Raceway on Saturday August 20 and will feature the Southern Nationals Bonus Series Super Late Models in a full program of practice, time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 59 lap, $10,059 to win (plus lap leader money), $500 to start 29th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial A-Main contest.  Also on the racing docket for Saturday August 20 will be the Phantom Racing Gear Modifieds racing for $1,259 to win, AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks racing for $1,059 to win, and Pro Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinders racing for $759 to win.  Complete feature event payout information will be forthcoming in another press release in the next few days.

There will also be a special Open Practice night at Richmond Raceway on the evening prior to the “Butterball” on Friday August 19 that will be open to all drivers in all divisions, with the practice night seeing the gates open at 5:00 p.m., with practice laps taking place from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. (all times listed are EDT).

Activities for the 29th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial will see all gates open one hour earlier than normal, as the pit area will open at 2:00 p.m., while the general admission area will open at 3:30 p.m.  Driver registration will close at 5:30 p.m., while the drivers meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m.  Practice laps will get underway at 6:15 p.m., with Super Late Model time trials set for 7:00 p.m., with racing set for 7:30 p.m.  Ticket prices for this event will be announced in a forthcoming press release in the next few days.
