KDRA Super Stock Nationals/Pro Late Model Firecracker 30 Postponed at Richmond Raceway

Richmond, KY(September 19, 2015) Richmond Raceway would be set to return to action on Saturday with the KDRA Super Stock Nationals for the American Dirt Allstars KDRA Super Stocks and Firecracker 30 for REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models, but Mother Nature would have other ideas as light rain showers started falling just before 9:00 p.m. and had turned to heavier showers by 9:30 p.m., making the racing surface unsafe for competition and forcing the postponement of the event.   The event will now go as whole new racing program on Saturday September 26.

The KDRA Super Stock Nationals and Firecracker 30 for REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models will now take place on Saturday September 26 and will start over with a whole new program of racing, as all division heat race events were not completed.  Race fans and race teams that were in attendance can use their tickets and pit passes on Saturday September 26 to be admitted to the racing program, however, patrons must have their ticket and/or pit pass to be able to return for no charge or they will have to pay again.  If individuals cannot use their raincheck on September 26, they can be used at the 2015 season finale Beast of the East Clash on Saturday October 3 and all anyone would have to do is pay the difference in prices between the ticket and/or pit pass.  The Meet the Drivers activities that were scheduled for September 26 will now not take place.  Again, the event will be a complete new show and any new race teams and race fans that were not in attendance are welcome to come.

Richmond Raceway will now return to racing action on Saturday September 26 with the American Dirt Allstars KDRA Super Stock Nationals and Firecracker 40 for REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models, with the KDRA Super Stocks racing for $2,000 to win and Pro Late Models racing for $1,500 to win.  Also on the September 26 racing schedule will be the Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models racing for $1,200 to win, Modifieds racing for $800 to win, Four Cylinders racing for $300 to win, and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win.

Prior to the rains forcing postponement of the racing program, eighty-one race teams had signed in for racing competition.  In events that were completed prior to the rain, Scott Crusenberry won the Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclone heat, Todd Coffman and Dustin Shoulders had won REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Model heats, Tommy Bailey and Rod Carter, Jr. had won Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Model heats, and Robby Perkins and Colby Taylor had won the first two American Dirt Allstars KDRA Super Stock heats, prior to the rains starting to fall as the third heat was set to take the green flag.
