Richmond Raceway Returns to Action with $1,000 to win Four Cylinder Fury Saturday June 27

 

Richmond, KY(June 21, 2015) After an off weekend, Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will return with racing action at the 3/10 mile red clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” this Saturday June 27 as the track presents Four Cylinder Fury, paying $1,000 to win for Four Cylinders, plus a full racing card of competition in all other divisions.        

Richmond Raceway will present Four Cylinder Fury on Saturday June 27 as the Four Cylinder division will be highlighted with their biggest money event of the 2015 season, racing for $1,000 to win in  a 25 lap main event.  Also on the Four Cylinder Fury racing card for Saturday June 27 will be the Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models racing for $1,200 to win, Modifieds racing for $800 to win, and REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models racing for $600 to win, and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win.  The KDRA Super Stocks will now be OFF on June 27.  For the Four Cylinder Fury event, all divisions will utilize the practice/time trials combo format to determine heat race starting positions, except for the Mini-Cup/Cyclones, as they will draw for heat race starting positions.  RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and must be used by the driver everytime he/she is on the racing surface in their race car. 

Also, the $1,000 to win event for the Four Cylinder division is open to any competitor that has a Four Cylinder race car that conforms to the rules for the division at Richmond Raceway.  Transponders are also used at Richmond Raceway and there is a $10 rental fee on the transponders.  Also, Richmond Raceway and 191 Speedway are working together for the weekend’s events, with Richmond not running the KDRA Super Stocks on June 27 since 191 has them for $1,000 to win in American Dirt Allstars sanctioned action and 191 will not be running Four Cylinders June 27, with Richmond paying $1,000 to win for the Four Cylinders.

Activities for Four Cylinder Fury at Richmond Raceway on Saturday June 27 will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general admission area open at 4:30 p.m.  Driver’s registration will close promptly at 6:00 p.m.  The drivers meeting will be at 6:00 p.m, with practice/time trial combo laps set to begin around 6:20 p.m., and the green flag for the first race will wave at 7:30 p.m.  Ticket prices for Four Cylinder Fury on Saturday June 27 in the general admission area will be $13 for adults, with children ages 12 and under FREE.  For the pit area, adult prices will be $35, with children ages 6 to 12 costing $15, and children ages five and under FREE.  If a driver races in more than one division, that driver has to buy a second pit pass.  Also, any driver under the age of 18 will have to have a notorized release signed by both parents before that driver is eligible to compete at Richmond Raceway, due to insurance regulations.
