Richmond Raceway Off June 24; Saturday Night Showdown Set to Go July 1

Richmond, KY (June 18, 2017) Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will have the 3/10-mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” closed this Saturday June 24, but will return to action on Saturday July 1 as the track will present its 3rd Annual Saturday Night Showdown event that will pay $1,000 to win for the AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks and $750 to win for the Baker Iron and Metal Stock Four Cylinders, plus the Sonic Late Models and Eagle Financial Services Open Wheel Modifieds will be in action, plus the Mini-Cup/Cyclones will join the racing card for action on July 1.

 

Jameson and Miller Victorious in Butch Shay Memorial Events at Richmond Raceway

Richmond, KY (June 17, 2017) Richmond Raceway would present the 3rd Annual Butch Shay Memorial on Saturday evening and Clayton Miller of Elkton, KY would take the checkered flag and $2,100 payday for the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series, while Jason Jameson of Lawrenceburg, IN would get to the checkered flag first in the Sonic Late Model feature event and also claim a $2,100 payday.  Other feature event winners were Logan Preston of Berea, KY in the AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks and Tyler Hayes of Pine Ridge, KY in the Baker Iron and Metal Stock Four Cylinders.

 

Richmond Raceway Moves June 24 Program to July 1 with Late Models Added to Program

Richmond, KY (June 12, 2017) Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are announcing an adjustment to the racing schedule at the 3/10-mile semi-banked clay oval better known as “The Beast of the East” that involves the race dates on June 24 and July 1.

 

Brucebilt Modifieds and Late Models $2,100 to win at Richmond Raceway’s Butch Shay Memorial June 17

Richmond, KY (June 11, 2017) After being off last week, Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will have the 3/10-mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” back in action on Saturday June 17 with the 3rd Annual Butch Shay Memorial, featuring Sonic Late Models paying $2,100 to win and the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series paying $2,100 to win, along with a full racing program for the AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks and Baker Iron and Metal Stock Four Cylinders.

 

Jeremie Bretz Bags $1,000 to win Richmond Raceway Four Cylinder Fury

Richmond, KY (June 3, 2017) Richmond Raceway would present its annual Four Cylinder Fury on Saturday evening and Jeremie Bretz of Maysville, KY would take the $1,000 victory for the Baker Iron and Metal Stock Four Cylinder division.  Other feature event winners included Derek Fisher of Olympia, KY in Sonic Late Models, Jimmy Robinson of Richmond, KY in Eagle Financial Services Open Wheel Modifieds, and Eddie Stewart of Manchester, KY in AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks on a night that saw competitors race two and three-wide and use almost every inch of available racing space on the track.
